Dear Fellow Colleagues and Valued CSEA Members,
I hope this reaches you well! Please see the important updates below.
- Contracts With Four CSEA Bargaining Units Approved With Overwhelming Member Support
CSEA’s contracts covering more than 55,000 New York State employees, running April 2, 2026–April 1, 2031, were overwhelmingly ratified by members. The agreements include annual raises of 4.5%, 4%, 3.5%, 3%, and 3%; boosts to location pay and other unit-specific payments; 20 hours of paid prenatal leave; a higher sick-leave accumulation cap; and health-insurance updates that lower costs by eliminating certain co-pays and encouraging in-network care.
Please take a moment to read a press release from the governor’s office and visit our state contract webpage for videos, flyers, FAQs and other resources.
- Cost Savings Proposal Submitted to County Administration As the County begins its Fiscal Year 2027 budget process, we have submitted a cost-savings proposal to County Executive Jenkins (and his budget team) on behalf of CSEA Unit 9200. This proposal was compiled thanks to the contributions of our members and outlines practical options estimated to generate $15–$27+ million in annual gross savings and new revenue, or $11–$21+ million net after modest staffing investments. We emphasized our readiness to partner with County leadership to deliver more efficient services while maintaining quality for Westchester residents, and offered to meet to discuss the recommendations further.
- County’s Intent on Ending Telework September 8 – ADA Accommodations
As most of you know, the County has announced its intention to end telework effective September 8th. While we are well prepared to challenge this, a resolution may take some time to work through the process. If you have a medical or disability condition that was facilitated by teleworking, we recommend that you apply for an ADA accommodation. We have attached the ADA form for your convenience. Once completed, please file it with your respective Department’s HR person. Please note that the form must be accompanied by your job description, which can be obtained here:https://humanresources.westchestercountyny.gov/employees/job-descriptions - Westchester County Clerk Passport Service Event
